
Amy has had a lifelong interest in helping people understand how their bodies work. As a physical therapist, she enjoys the hands-on, one-on-one process of helping people improve their function. Whether a patient is seeking to return to playing a sport or trying to resume their normal way of life, Amy is particularly interested in assisting patients achieve their physical goals.
Amy has in-depth experience working with the fitness and rehabilitation populations. Her treatment approach is functionally oriented and she believes that it is important that patients are provided with the tools to maintain gains and prevent further problems.
She uses a combination of therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education and manual techniques to provide patients with individualized care suited to their specific needs. Her areas of expertise include acute and chronic spinal pain, postural dysfunction and re-education.
Amy received her Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from Virginia Commonwealth University. She has extensive experience as a physical therapist, and has served as the Clinical Director of a physical therapy practice.
